Head of Technical Assurance

Ascentor is growing its Technical Assurance Services team. This growth requires a Head of Technical Assurance to help Ascentor support its business aims and meet its potential.

Working with the Managing Director, the Head of Technical Assurance is ultimately responsible for maintaining the quality of Ascentor’s delivery. They are required to ensure training and mentoring of staff ensures delivery standards are maintained.

They will have experience of Cyber Security frameworks and standards including the Cyber Essentials Scheme, IASME Cyber Assurance and ISO 27001. Additionally, the Head of Technical Assurance will have knowledge and experience of Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management to allow for effective scoping and proposal production. They will be customer and delivery-focused, with a strong understanding of how to sell and market Technical Assurance services. Most important is the understanding of how to deliver Ascentor services profitably.

Collaboration is a key aspect of the job. On a day-to-day basis, they will be working with colleagues and delivery partners alongside the Operations Director who is overall responsible for ensuring services are delivered to time and cost metrics.

This role is ideal for an IA/Cyber consultant wishing to make a move into a technical and strategic management role where they are directly responsible for driving change within an agile, customer-focused SME that ‘punches above its weight’.

Qualifications

Academic

  • MSc in Information or cyber security
  • BSc in Information or cyber security
  • 10 years Equivalent experience

Professional

CISSP or
CISM and
CRT or
CSTM or
Equivalent

Daily Tasks

Quality

  • Deliver Ascentor services to our clients
  • Define and manage training approach to include professional and academic qualifications, to ensure consultants maintain appropriate SQEP
  • Develop in house consultant training plans
  • Provide mentoring and support to less experience members of the team Ensure deliverable products meet quality objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of new joiners
  • Develop customer delivery plans with Ops Director and consultants
  • With the Ops Dir provide data to develop cost and sales budgets
  • Monthly review of KPIs

Products and Services

  • Define and maintain the service catalogue
  • Support development of new products and services in line with strategic direction
  • Manage and Maintain Teams Channels

Pre Sales

  • Provide expert input into the pre-sales environment supporting the Ascentor and Amtivo sales team as required.
  • Manage Sales Process (HubSpot, Teams Channel, Document Register)
  • Develop costed solution to meet customer requirements Provide input to proposals and bids

Line Manager

  • HR PoC for all direct reports
  • Annual reports
  • Manage leave and absence

Knowledge

Manage and Maintain Industry Knowledge of Portfolio Services such as Vulnerability Management,  Pen Testing, IASME Cyber Assurance and Cyber Essential’s

 

Supply Chain Management

Maintain and foster relationship with clients, 3rd parties, delivery partners and Associates
