Accredited Certifications
Quality assurance and robust security measures for your business. Trust Ascentor to deliver excellence and protect your valuable assets.
- ISO 9001– Internationally recognised standard for ensuring your business delivers a quality output. Although called a quality standard its value to Ascentor is in identifying the critical business functions and allocating appropriate resources to ensure quality. Ascentor has held its ISO 9001 certificate for 10 years.
- ISO 27001 – An international standard for information security management systems (ISMS). Issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 27001 furnishes a framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an efficient information security management system within an organisation.
- IASME Cyber Assured – Formerly known as IASME Governance this is a lightweight version of ISO27001 developed by the IASME consortium in partnership with Warwick University. It is aimed at providing best practice guidance on governing and maintaining a suitable information security baseline for smaller businesses.
- Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials Plus – Cyber Essentials and its big brother Cyber Essentials Plus were developed to provide a minimum set of technically focused security controls for businesses of all shapes and sizes. The standard has evolved over the years to keep in line with the ever-increasing threat.
- IASME Certification Body – Ascentor is an approved Certification Body allowing us to audit and certify organisations to the Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and Cyber Assurance at both levels 1 and 2. Ascentor is proud to say that it was the first IASME Certification Body
- JOSCAR Registered – Ascentor has satisfied all the requirements to become fully registered on the JOSCAR supplier accreditation register.
Consultant Qualifications
CISSP, CISM, and CCP certified experts at Ascentor. Design, implement, and manage cyber security programs with our industry-leading consultants. Your security is our priority.
- CISSP – ISC2. The worlds premier cyber security certification. Those with CISSP can design, implement and manage cyber security programs.
- CISM – ISACA. Those with CISM have demonstrated expertise in information security governance, program development and management, incident management and risk management.
- CCP – NCSC unlike the exam focussed CISSP and CISM, gaining CCP is all about providing evidence of your capability in the cyber security field. A written submission evidencing your capability against a set of capabilities gets you to Practitioner level. Those who want to achieve Senior and Lead must also provide a case study and be interviewed by their peers. CCP will retire in 2026 and a new scheme ‘the Chartership Route’ is in place now and run by the UK Cyber Security Council.
